Black Agenda Report: There`s Nothing Like Us, Anywhere: Black Agenda Report is the only progressive Black journalistic publication that presents a consistent political vision on the burning issues of the day with the explicit purpose of building a movement for social change.
Our mission and practice is unique: to challenge the vestiges of ghettoized, Jim Crow politics in Black America so that African Americans can stand tall as full and active citizens of the world; to measure politicians of all races by the progressive standards of the historical Black Political Consensus; and to create the conditions for the emergence of new and stronger Black institutions for struggle.
Our team methodically explores the crises confronting African Americans, with a special emphasis on the growing internal contradictions afflicting the national Black polity. Indeed, no other periodical consistently identifies Black politicians and organizations that break faith with the interests of African Americans. We have charted in unfolding detail the steady deterioration of the Congressional Black Caucus, a significant faction of which has gravitated permanently to the enemy camp. Our work inspired the creation of CBC Monitor, the first African American watchdog group to rate the performance of Black congresspersons based on their adherence to the Black Political Consensus – a truly historic development.
